DRIFTWOOD

Driftwood is wood hat has been washed onto a shore or beach of a sea, lake, or river by the action of winds, tides or waves. Driftwood provides shelter and food for birds, fish and other aquatic species as it floats in the ocean.

We are using only Azorean Driftwood that we are collecting on Faial Island.

We will be visiting Pico and São Jorge islands soon.

OUR WORKSHOP

Our Shop Was builded in 2020 with new wood because we where not able to find used wood in Horta (Faial Island). But we where able to reuse (recycled) the doors and windows that we replace in our house. All stones for floor and side walk are reused materials.

Reusing and Recycling materials is not very popular in the Azores considering the prices a new local materials.
